This beautifully built pre independence Villa was lovingly named Alu Villa in 1954.
Lived in, until 2018, Alu Villa has been renovated with modern amenities, maintaining the originality and charm of it.
Alu Villa now opens her doors to visitors, for an experience of ‘’The Parsi Homestay”.
Driving into the bungalow you are welcomed by a line of Ashoka trees and a lush green garden with a fountain in the center.The garden is connected to the main bungalow by an open portico/patio where you can sit and enjoy your morning mint and lemongrass tea with your favourite book.
Accommodation
Right at the entrance of the bungalow is a cosy living room, there are 3 guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms, a large common dining room with an attached pantry
Room 1
The Yellow Room” as we called it, has beautifully carved antique furniture, a double bed with ensuite bathroom. The Chandelier and fire place add to its old world charm.
Room 2
The children’s Room, we grew up here amidst lots of laughter, fun and friends. This room has a double bed, ensuite bathroom, wardrobe and a dresser.
Room 3
Kairus’ s Room, this single room was where we all did our studies & tuitions. This room has single bed, ensuite bathroom, wardrobe and dresser.

For the “Foodies” the kitchen can prepare authentic Parsi dishes
Like Akuri, Dhansak, Dhai Ma Ghost, Salli Boti to name a few.The kitchen is equally proficient in Rajasthani cuisine Veg and Non veg dishes like Gatte ki sabzi, Rajasthani Kadi,Laal Maas and many more.
Dining Room
Around this 12 seater dining table meals were shared with family, friends and lots of Mayo College boys for whom our parents were guardians over many years.
Kishans Kitchen & Pantry
This is where the magic is created with authentic Parsi and Rajasthani meals which are his specialty.
Light Breakfast included with all rooms
Set menu for Lunch and Dinner is available.
Vegetarian meal @ Rs 550/- per head.
Non-vegetarians @ Rs 650/- per head.
Advance notice is requested to be given to the kitchen as all dishes are prepared the same day.
